		Two handsome volumes with leather spine with 
		raised bands, six compartments and leather spine labels. Marbled boards. 
		pp.602 plus errata and 607 and large foldout map. Some occasional foxing 
		throughout both volumes. Some edge wear and rubbing to the leather on 
		the corner tips. The hinge on volume is tender but definitely holding, a 
		slight split in the leather at the lower front of hinge. Overall an 
		extremely handsome set of an important work.

		Full leather. The extra suite of 26 engravings have initial letters

		Lockwood, Luke Vincent Book Description: The Rhode Island School of Design, Providence, 
		Rhode Island, 1904. Full Leather. Book Condition: Good Plus to Very 
		Good. Limited. Number 124 of 160 copies of which only 150 were available 
		for distribution. Signed by Stephen O. Metcalf. Printed on Japan Vellum 
		at the Literary Press. Beautiful photographs of antiques and furnishings 
		from the Pendleton Collection.  Gilt decorated leather, top edge gilt, gilt decorated leather inside 
		front and back covers and satin endpapers. Raised bands on spine, six 
		compartments. Some wear to edges, corners bumped and worn through in 
		places. The boards were professionally reattached at some point and the 
		lower edge of spine repaired. The interior is very good. Overall a very

		1985. Full Cloth Case. Book Condition: Pristine. Alan Robinson 
		(illustrator). Limited/Numbered. 22 x 14 Cm. Artist's Proof D. State 
		Proof Edition. With an afterword, The Private Printing of "The Jumping 
		Frog" Story by Samuel Clemens. Daniel Kelm designed the binding of four 
		leather onlay frogs. With 15 wood engravings by Robinson.  Originally published in 1865, it was translated into French in 1872 
		and retranslated back into English by Twain in 1882. This edition 
		includes all three stories as well as an 1894 article by Clemens on the 
		story's history. Printed on T.H. Saunders paper in Centaur and Arrighi 
		with the assistance of Arthur Larson, hand-sewn into paper wrappers by 
		Claudia Cohen. Full tan leather with leather on-lay frog. Prints and 
		state proofs of etching and working proofs of wood engravings with a 
		drawing in a chemise with full cloth case. Very limited number of

		Color frontispiece. Some shelf wear and rubbing to edges, a small splash 
		of paint on spine, some light spotting/discoloration on fore-edge. 
		Owner's name on an endpaper and on title page of all three volumes.  Volume II. Lycaenidae, 
		Papilionidae, Hesperidae. Foldout map. Some shelf wear and rubbing. Book 
		block detached from covers and spine.  Volume III. Appendix, Plates. 
		Three maps in color. Book block of this volume is also detached from the 
		spine. (I believe that both volumes can be easily repaired.) Some 
		rubbing and shelf wear to book. Interior good plus on all three volumes.

		decoration on the spine and leather spine label. Rubbing to the spine 
		and the fore-edges with the leather worn through to board. Rubbing to 
		the marbled boards with some paper lacking on the edges otherwise good 
		plus.  Interior very good with a foldout map and only occasional foxing. 
		Owner's bookplate inside front cover with some transfer to front free
